Burundi Busambo #15 comes from smallholder producers in the Busambo community, nestled in the hills of Kayanza. Grown at elevations of 1,850–2,100 meters, this Red Bourbon coffee thrives in rich red clay soils near the Kibira National Forest, where cooler temperatures and plentiful rainfall shape the region’s growing conditions.
Naturally processed and dried on raised beds for 20–25 days, this coffee brings together comforting sweetness and lively citrus. Notes of warming spices and brown sugar are brightened by tangerines, creating an inviting cup that balances warmth and freshness.

This season we are proud to introduce some new coffees that are 100% organic. One component of the blend comes from Valle Inca, our favorite co-op in Cusco region of Peru. Valle Inca’s goal is to find the highest quality coffees and to help create a sustainable future for the community by paying fair prices to smallholder producers. The other half of this blend is produced by the Sagastume family in the Santa Barbara region of Honduras. Don Pedro Sagastume and his 5 children produce the pacas varietal across their individual farms and have blended their harvests together for this family lot. Their future goals are to diversify their farm with different quality coffee varieties and other crops such as avocados.

For more than 20 years, the Vargas family has cultivated exceptional specialty coffee, earning recognition as four-time Cup of Excellence finalists. Their dedication to sustainable farming, precise fermentation management, and meticulous processing shines through in every harvest.
This Pink Bourbon lot undergoes a washed process, where the fruit is removed before drying. The result is a remarkably clean and elegant cup that highlights the coffee's floral aromatics, bright citrus acidity, and distinctive varietal character.
Part of our Luminosa V2 release, this coffee is available alongside its companion offering, Colombia Luminosa V2 Natural. Produced on the same farm, by the same family, from the same Pink Bourbon variety and harvest, these coffees differ only in their processing method.
